Check in & out…
Check out is at eleven am and you may check in anytime, however, rooms may not be ready until 2pm which is official check in. If your room isn’t ready and you have arrived early, we can hold on to your luggage while you relax on our deck with a complimentary welcome cocktail.
We are a small operation so cancellations affect us greatly.
We require a deposit through Paypal to reserve your room. The balance is due in cash upon arrival. If taking advantage of our special GET BACK TO TRAVELING, covid rates, you agree to the policy that the deposit is non refundable. We will require the balance 2 weeks before arrival. If covid causes the borders to close for dates during your stay or your flight is cancelled, we will be happy to transfer your dates and apply the deposit.
If booking less than 30 days before arrival, we require full pre-payment and it is non-refundable.
Reservations made during the Christmas/New Year Holiday require 100% payment at the time of booking and are non-refundable and non transferrable.
Our rooms sleep two people only & The Firefly is an adults only property. We accept teens ages 14 & up.
The Firefly is a non smoking property and a charge of $250 will occur if in violation.
You are not confirmed until payment is received. We do not accept credit cards. The Firefly Restaurant/Bar accepts cash only. Once you have arrived, we CANNOT take paypal for room tabs or balances.
Cancellations made 60 days before arrival will receive a refund minus a 15% transaction fee. If you cancel 31-59 days before your reservation, we will refund 50% of your deposit minus paypal fees. If you cancel 30 days or less before your reservation, your deposit is not refundable. Changes in itinerary (i.e. Less days than originally booked) are treated as cancellations and reflect the same policies as above.
Cancellations made after the 30 day window will forgo their deposit/full payment as it may be harder for us to fill the room. No refunds are offered for early departures.
Please note, if you are making changes/amendments to your dates less than 30 days before arrival, you are still responsible for the full payment of your original committed dates, as it becomes harder for us to re-book the room on late notice.
We are not responsible for the weather, flight delays, acts of nature or mistakes you may have made with your reserved dates/itinerary or flight schedules during your trip. Thank you for understanding! Please book your flights or know the flight schedules BEFORE you book your dates.
Bocas is a cash island and we rely on cash to run our business here in Bocas, to purchase produce & food, pay the local fisherman and our workers. Therefore, we cannot take paypal for the room balance or for any tabs while you are here. We cannot take full prepayment as we require the balance in cash on site. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS
We do not accept pets on the property.
RETREAT POLICIES:A deposit of half is due at sign up through Venmo. The balance is due 60 days before the retreat. If you need to cancel before 60 days, we will refund half of your deposit. If canceling after the final balance is paid, due to the nature of the event & limited space, your balance/ final payment is non refundable.
